noticing the good stuff

The doe lifted her head from where she and her fawn were standing by the edge of the road at the sound of my passing vehicle.

The rabbit unconcernedly continued nibbling clover.

The fog was lifting with the morning sun, as I dropped my son off for his next IB exam.

The light reflected off the armament museum; the jets, cargo planes and helicopters stoically awaiting another day.

As I passed over the first bridge on the way home, I saw no dolphin, which would've made this morning complete for me, but I faintly heard a familiar tune and turned the radio up to be greeted with the sounds of Styx, one of my favorties.

Closer to home, as I passed the park, there were the usual joggers and dog walkers, including the family with 3 greyhounds, so tall and lean.

If things continue as they have so far, I believe it's going to be a pleasant day.

Do you go barefoot around your house? or do you wear shoes? perhaps socks or slippers? I'm serious here. I am curious what people prefer. I was asked if I was a redneck when I stepped out of my house onto my porch yesterday, barefoot, to talk to the guy who was going to mow my lawn.

This challenge is of shots of things up close, asking others to guess what it is, and then putting the answer as the first comment so once people tthink they know, (or they are stumped) they can roll down and check. Here is my submission:
